Having been trained as an architect dealing with function and organization, it is exciting and challenging to be free of those restraints and to work only with sculptural elements. Assembling various materials, including wood, plastic, metal, plaster and glass is great fun. Titles have been selected that are appropriate to the styles and give extra meaning to the space and forms of the sculptures. Simple, almost minimalist forms are interesting and varied. The observer is invited to participate and be involved-sometimes touching or playing with the sculpture. Whether the piece is large or small, indoor or outdoor, on a pedestal on the floor or wall, kinetic or static, each has its own personality and makes an individual statement. I hope you enjoy the pieces as much as I do and find them equally as interesting.
